Honor has confirmed that it will soon launch a new GT corresponding to its recently released X40. The 2 versions of the Android smartphone have the same basic design, but the newer GT model has been redesigned to show speed and power. It’s expected to launch alongside another mid-range Snapdragon 6-series processor, albeit with a likely higher display refresh rate.

Honor’s new X40 Android smartphone is the first for 2022 A smartphone with a new ultra-thin Star Ring rear camera design that is combined with the FHD+ display and large battery found in the new mid-range phone. This could be a winning formula for the OEM as it has now announced that it will be available in a new Variant form reintroduces it.

The X40 GT has been revealed to show off its new rear panel Styling A heavily changed black and green colorway puts its new name front and center, in the middle of its narrow camera halo. As such, it has almost been blatantly touted as a “performance version.”

If there are specs to back up the hype, Honor will keep them Temporarily reserved. However, the X40 GT is backed by well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, proving that it’s a true high-performance mid-range phone with a display refresh rate that may even surpass the vanilla X40’s 120Hz.

Again, it’s clearly still an LCD. That screen is likely to be powered by a processor less than a million miles away from the original X40’s Snapdragon 695 SoC — most likely the 680, although it’s also possible that it will debut with the newer 6 Gen 1. Honor will reveal which model it actually is on October 13, 2022.
