Honor gave a great keynote speech at this year’s IFA 2022. You can read all about the announcement here, but the gist of it boils down to the fact that the Honor 70, Pad 8 and MagicBook 1200 are in EU debut . Honor also launched an interesting visual arts program during the presentation.
Gateway to the Future is an AR project aimed at “enriching cultural heritage through the power of technology”. It contains two AR experiences centered around the Wasserschloss – the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site in Hamburg. Honor partnered with ARLOOPA to bring this concept to life and commissioned two visual artists – Yunuene and Timo Helgert to creatively transform Wasserschloss using AR.
Yunuene’s “Through Time” project takes viewers through the maritime logistics history of the port city of Hamburg. Timo Helgert’s work is called “Blooming Future” and features A more futuristic way to imagine Wasserschloss as a green, futuristic sanctuary for plants and endangered species.
You can enjoy both experiences for free with the ARLOOPA app. Those lucky enough to be in Hamburg can Use AR as a vantage point on the Poggenmühlen-Brücke bridge on the side of the Wasserschloss landmark. Everyone else can use the plane to project the entire visual ensemble onto the plane.
