It’s no secret that Cardi B is a devoted heels lover. When she raps about “bloody shoes” in the song Bodak Yellow
, she’s referring to her love of Christian Louboutin’s signature red soles. Even at the height of the pandemic, when most people find solace in sweat, she posted photos of herself at home in sky-high Dolce & Gabbana wedges. She just loves skyscrapers! But her latest look has the star taking the death-defying platform to a whole new level.
Yesterday, the rapper showed up at an event in Santa Monica for Whipshots — her line of vodka-infused whipped cream (yes, really ). On the red carpet, the star wore a printed Pucci hooded bodysuit from the brand’s Spring collection. While it’s a striking outfit on its own, Cardi took it to the extreme when it was paired with a pair of sculptural platform sandals. Dubbed the Harry Kristoff x ShoesUSA Jenna II Platform, this multicolor style features a stunning plywood cutout platform with no real heel at the back.
To wear them, you have to balance yourself and put all your weight on your toes. Cardi can’t just walk in them—she can even pose cheekily on their rugs. That’s a real talent. Not surprising though, since Cardi is a seasoned professional.
