Are you tired of seeing spam texts tangled up with texts from people in your contact list? Or maybe you’re tired of trying to read the texts of people around you and seeing spam texts in the process. If you haven’t noticed any of the other new features in iOS 16 in the past day or so, a brand new feature allows you to separate the two: filtering unknown senders.

Filtering unknown senders is not a “new feature”, but a relatively new feature. It’s been around since iOS 14, but most of us didn’t really notice it because it was so well hidden…until now. As the name suggests, it’s designed to filter out wanted text messages and put them in a separate list.
