When I say Hoy is a wellness oasis in the heart of Paris, I mean it: it’s just minutes walk from Gare du Nord. But when you enter the hotel, an almost surreal calm awaits you inside. Stepping off the busy street into the lobby, you are immediately greeted by “La Florería, ” , a collection of giant plants, bouquets and handmade ceramics curated by Japanese florist Chiaki Kokami. (It’s as if you’ve entered a botanical garden in a sleek, rustic wellness center.) Also tucked away in a Haussmann building in Paris’ 9th arrondissement? A plant-based Mexican restaurant, a meditation studio, and of course, a holistic spa.

22 The hotel room is also set as a decompression space, natural color, green Turquoise and slate are paired with light, calm tones. There are no TVs, but meditation pillows abound. Naturally, so do books on yoga and meditation. There’s also something I never thought I’d enjoy in a hotel room, but now thinks travel should be mandatory when you know you’ll be exploring the city on foot: Ballerina handrails for stretching. Absolutely indispensable after a day of 15, steps.
