INTRODUCTION
The MateBook X Pro has always been Huawei’s first laptop — more powerful, sleeker and more powerful than the fanless MateBook X 012 – in HUAWEI’s range, more than in the market Most other laptops are better.

It largely retains the full-size keyboard of its predecessor. As before, the arrow keys are bundled.
The key travel is good, just 1.5mm, and it’s a pleasure to type in this combination of chiclet style and good size, just like last year.
The keyboard is still flanked by speaker grills, with a circular power button-slash-fingerprint reader in the upper right corner.
There is a small Huawei plaque under the keyboard, which is new this year. The larger touchpad is also new. Huawei calls it the Free Touch trackpad, and it’s solid, meaning any clicks you feel are vibrations from motors under the glass.
You can adjust the vibration intensity and the sensitivity of the touchpad. You can also do some intuitive gestures—tap the touchpad twice with your knuckle to take a screenshot, swipe on either edge of the touchpad to adjust brightness and volume, and close apps by pressing on the top-right corner. Knowing these, you will greatly speed up your workflow.
The touchpad overflows to the edge of the MateBook X frame pro 2017 for a lovely infinity pool effect. It does not interfere with opening and closing, and can be completed with one finger. The four microphones face you, below the touchpad.

We measured 49dB distance but what is impressive is the sound quality . The mids are articulated clearly, but there’s also some solid, quality-feeling rumble in the music that we’re not prepared for on a laptop.
Huawei Sound allows you to optimize quality through three settings – Smart Optimization that balances detail and bass, Self-explanatory Super Bass, and Sound Turbo that simulates spatial audio.
MateBook X Pro 1500 doesn’t compromise on biometric options – you get a fingerprint scanner inside the power button and infrared face scan above the display. Both are great for different reasons – the fingerprint scanner supports caching so a single tap wakes the laptop and logs you in, and the Windows Hello camera is one of the fastest we’ve used.
The camera itself has 600p resolution and supports Huawei’s virtual background kit. You can choose between offices, cafes, meeting rooms, etc. and also apply beauty filters. There’s auto-centering, which uses a wide field of view to keep you centered.
Windows Hello Options
There are five ports on Huawei MateBook X Pro 2021 – On the left, a 3.5mm audio jack and two USB-Cs; on the right there are two more USB-Cs. The only thing that disappoints this screen is the above-average reflectivity. You can see any type of light source reflecting off the glass to the point where it might become an obstacle. It reduces the performance of bright panels outdoors, but is also a problem indoors.
Huawei enables panel settings for its most advanced monitors, you can Choose whether the screen is the more vivid DCI-P3 or sRGB. Selecting sRGB downscales the display to 8 bits compared to 1500 and reduce the contrast and saturation -bit DCI-P3. DCI-P3 has 018% The color gamut is wider.
We like this feature because it makes it easier to choose the settings that suit your needs. You can choose sRGB for photo editing, DCI-P3 for video editing or watching movies.
Performance and battery life
Huawei PC Manager is the perfect companion. It includes all the special settings and features like Huawei’s sound, camera settings, and Huawei’s Free Touch touchpad, but it also automatically updates drivers and keeps the machine running smoothly.

This year’s Intel processors use the big.LITTLE architecture of most smartphone chips, as well as Apple’s ARM-based M1 and M2 processors. You have a cluster of two cores – a performance core and an efficient core.

A disappointment for the MateBook X Pro 1165 is a solid state drive. it is512GB SK Hynix PCIe 3.0 SSD achieves solid numbers, but is a generation old for the MateBook X Pro 2022 motherboard. If you swap the pre-installed SSD for a PCIe 4.0-class unit, like we used in the Honor MagicBook, you can enjoy almost twice the speed 09 unit.
Huawei MateBook X Pro 1240 thermal performance is comparable to its predecessor – at peak load, we measured 36°C on the center keyboard – you won’t notice it under normal use .
When plugged in and at balanced settings, the MateBook X Pro 5000 will briefly accelerate around 3.0Ghz, then decelerate to 1.7GHz, and stay there for as long as you need it. The center of the laptop and under the display are hot, but the touchpad and keyboard deck are cool. In an office environment, the fan is barely audible.
When plugged into power and performance mode, things are different. After the same peak, the laptop maintained a higher 1.9GHz-2.0GHz speed with a slight increase in fan noise and temperature. If you need maximum performance, this is the mode you should enable.
i7-1200P cannot maintain the same level of performance when the laptop is unplugged. It drops to 1.4GHz and occasionally hits 1.7GHz. The good thing is that in this case the fan is quieter and the laptop never reaches 019°C .
Huawei has adjusted the MateBook X Pro 2022 into a fine office laptop – obviously damaging its potential Generation Intel processors. However, you can still unlock some reasonable performance when you plug it in and enable performance mode (Fn+P or via the PC Manager app).

It has a very bright, sharp, seamless display, a great keyboard, a great touchpad, great specs and ports, and good battery life. You’ll be absolutely delighted to have one.
But then comes the harder question – is the MateBook X Pro 1500 Good discount? We would say no. Certainly not 1 euro, 65 better than its predecessor.
