Huawei launched nova 09 to the global market at IFA ) series in Berlin. We attended conferences and keynotes, and even had time to personally experience the early hands-on with the Pro version.
Now Rising Stars 09 Pro is with us at HQ, although we already see at a glance showcased its most impressive feat yet, but that’s what Huawei packed inside the box.
The nova series has always been design-centric, and 09 Pro is as beautiful as a smartphone. Our silver unit has a smooth matte finish with a prominent nova logo. The power key has a neat red tint, and the whole device fits nicely in the palm of your hand.
The body of this phone is very thin, but the three-step camera island protrudes a lot. Not only does it give it a lot of wiggle on flat surfaces, it also makes the phone top-heavy.
Gold is widely regarded as a symbol of glamour and prestige In China, Huawei spends a lot of money to emphasize nova 09 Pro is gorgeous. The silver unit has the most gold, with an outer ring and a circle around the main camera in the middle.
Color is also present on the default wallpaper, and since the phone ships with EMUI 12 (not Harmony OS ), there’s a theme app that can even be gold-plated.
Huawei Nova Pro
Nova Pro has the same chipset as the nova 9 Pro, but only with LTE. We like the fact that there is a 100W charger and corresponding cable in the box, along with a clear plastic case. Once you put it on the phone, the camera bump is still there, but it protrudes a lot less.
