It is now heading to the Senate for a vote. From conversations with Rae and Martin to Congresswoman Pressley, the series deftly explores the personal stories of Black women of all ages and backgrounds, providing a sense of community and solidarity in ways we’ve never seen before. “The idea stemmed from the need to make some contribution to black lives and black resilience,” explained Davis. “We have stories in our hair.”
