New trailer for HBO’s upcoming series Idol introduces audience to ensemble cast led by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp.

The trailer begins with Tesfaye answering the phone and saying “hello, angel,” followed by Depp swaggering into the record company, exercising, dancing, and talking to The scene of adoring fans saying hello.
“It’s sex,” Adams’ character told Levy’s, pointing to Depp as she filmed a risqué music video outdoors. “This is sex?” Levy asked. “That’s sex. That’s what we’re selling,” Adams responded to the half-shocked levy.
Idol is set at The Los Angeles music industry centers on a self-help guru and modern-day cult leader (Tesfaye) who develops a complicated relationship with a budding pop star (Depp).
While the series got the green light back in November
“Idol ‘s creative team continually builds, refines and develops their vision for the show, and they are already working on new creations direction,” HBO said in a statement at the time. “The production will adjust its cast and crew accordingly to best serve this new approach to the series.”
Premium Cable Outlet has yet to announce the franchise’s release date but teased it would be “coming soon”.
