Over the course of the last month, Twitter internally tested a feature that would allow you to edit tweets, and it finally went live today, but with some small print.
First of all, you can only edit your tweets if you are a Twitter Blue subscriber. Know this from the first time the company teased it. However, you should also note that at this time, Edited Tweets are only available in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Now that Edit is rolling out labs in Twitter Blue, you can look forward to the following

The feature will be rolling out soon in the US, but so far there’s no mention of it being available to people who don’t subscribe to Twitter Blue. It might get there eventually, but for starters, it’ll be an added bonus of a subscription service.
Plus, version history is available on each edited tweet, so you know what changed pic.twitter.com/E3eZSj7NsL

Interestingly, You can view the version history for every edited tweet, so you know exactly what has changed. It really took Twitter a long time to roll out this feature, and it’s pretty much a staple of many other social media services — it’s probably just a case of “better late than never”.
