A$AP Rocky’s enviable bag collection grows stronger by the day. The rapper celebrated his 34th birthday last night with Rihanna. While the two looked fabulous—her in a feathery Cecilie Bahnsen top, him in a preppy plaid blazer and bejeweled hair clips—it was his bubblegum pink bag that really caught the eye.
Rocky carried a Pepto Bismol-hued Bottega Veneta Andiamo bag, made in the brand’s signature woven leather, which is the latest addition to his inimitable closet.
The “RIOT” rapper has proven time and time again that he isn’t concerned with mens’ fashion norms when it comes to his personal style. Between his babushka scarf and leather skirt, A$ASP Rocky knows that gender norms are so passé. That includes his impressive purse collection, which he’s proudly cultivated and displayed over the course of his career.
In August, just after the birth of his second son Riot Rose, he was spotted walking to his conspicuous yellow Hummer, dressed for a workout in a black J6 hoodie, Puma shorts, and black-and-green sneakers with white socks, carried a toting an open black Hermès Kelly with gold hardware. Between the open bag, contents on full display, and the little coffee cup he kept chugging from, the new father of two was giving a touch of Frazzled Englishwoman energy.
On a May date night with Rihanna at Carbone, Rocky paired a sky blue Goyard Saint Louis with his simple white tee, jeans, flannel, and puffer. The rapper is clearly a fan of Goyard: he’s also been spotted carrying a marigold yellow clutch, an orange tote, and blue satchel with a rose painted on the leather. And at the spring 2020 Gucci show in Milan, he wore a leather purse by the Italian house slung across his chest.
