Last week, Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon brought the resort show to Rio de Janeiro – the brand’s first destination show – and three days of exciting celebrations ensued , and lots and lots of fresh fruit caipirinhas. On Tuesday night, guests were invited to Arp, a trendy restaurant in Arpoador Beach, where they had their first taste of delicious caps (as the locals call them) made from the national spirit of cachaça.
On the second evening, Wes Gordon welcomes guests to his gorgeous private residence in the jungle designed by Burle Marx for a dinner prepared by a private chef, including The smoked fish in the acai broth and the palm fettuccine hearts that everyone agreed were beyond. Afterwards, the guests enjoyed a special performance by Mart’nália, who captivated the attendees with her smoky voice and percussion. During her performance, many Brazilians, including model Caroline Ribeiro, could be seen dancing and singing alongside the legendary Brazilian singer-songwriter. When she left the stage singing, a DJ came on and had the guests dancing until the wee hours.
Despite all the festivities, energy was at an all-time high by the time Thursday night rolled around. A fashion show scheduled to take place at sunset on the hilltop of Vila Santa Teresa was postponed due to rain, but guests rushed into the after-party tent instead, turning it into a pre-party celebrating the brand’s launch Their latest fragrance is Good Girl Blush. Dance to the DJ who mixes Brazilian, Spanish and American music, then drink – you guessed it – more fresh fruit caps, made for the most memorable 72 time in Rio de Janeiro .
