When Jonathan Anderson came to town, people pretended school night didn’t exist. Loewe’s creative director begins his New York tour, joining Creative Time for a jazz-filled event to celebrate Charles Gaines’ new work of public art on Governors Island. The fun definitely doesn’t stop there.
And of course, his spring 2023 collection also went to Manhattan, which made for a great opportunity for friends and pals. Editors can relive their favorite looks up close. After the press conference, Anderson invited a select panel to preview his latest project, the first Loewe fragrance store. Located in the beauty salon of the famous luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman, the fragrance store is the brand’s first in North America.
Even with the downpour, Anderson kept his spirits high as he continued to celebrate Monday night at an intimate dinner at Stephen Weiss’ studio. Guests included Marcos Fecchino, Derek Blasberg, Jeanne Cadieu, Linda Fargo, Alexander Roth, Deon Hinton, Isabelle Caput, Nelson Tiberghien, Paige Stables, Kailand Morris, Max Tarido, Anaa Saber, Willa Bennett and Tanner Reese’s latest collection of nature-inspired fragrances.
Nestled in the heart of the West Village, the airy space feels especially festive and cozy with colorful Loewe blankets and decor. Candles of all shapes and sizes give off warm sparkles and a delicious earthy scent.
On the table, various flavored butters served with crispy crackers, making the first course almost inedible. Potato pie with salmon roe is a delicious way to start an entree that includes tuna crudo and decadent roasted squash. Ending the night on a sweet note, mini lychee cakes arrive at every seat before guests say goodbye to the night.
From sight to smell, taste to touch, to the sound of laughter from guests, this Loewe night is a sensory experience like no other.
