Invincible? Best Arsenal start since 2004-05 (4-0)

Arsenal continued their perfect start to Saturday’s Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win over Fulham at London’s Emirates Stadium.

This result marks the first time since Arsenal’s ‘Invincible’ season of 2004-05 that the club have started with four consecutive league victories, with Mikel Arteta’s side in the points Two points ahead.

Arsenal dominated the first half but it was striker Aleksandr Mitrovic who broke the deadlock and continued his fine form in front of goal to score him for Fulham 100th goal. The 27-year-old stole the ball from Arsenal defender Gabriel, who rubbed the ball on the edge of his own 18-yard box before going over goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. The strike marked Mitrovic’s fourth league goal of the season.

Arsenal were not denied, though, as Martin Odegaard received Bukayo Sa on the edge of the box minutes later Card’s pass came back and attempted a shot that deflected past goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The hosts pushed for the win and were rewarded just five minutes after Gabriel swooped home after Leno failed to handle it. – Swing corners.

Arsenal have now won four league games in a row after easy wins over Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bournemouth.
