Io Sakisaka's Ao Haru Ride/Blue Spring Ride manga gets live action



WOWOW announced on Friday that a live broadcast is in production – Adapted from Io Sakisaka of () Comics that will premiere on the channel this fall. The series will have an eight-episode Season 1 followed by Season 2.

Natsuki Deguchi (top left picture, Silent Parade , The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House aoharuride) stars as Futaba Yoshioka, while

Masato Kimura is directing all episodes of the show except episodes 5 and 7, which are directed by Yusuke Matsuda.

The story revolves around a girl named Futaba who fell in love with her. A middle school boy named Hikaru Tanaka. However, after a misunderstanding, their friendship ended when he transferred for the summer. In high school, her world changes again when she meets Kō again, this time under the name Kō Mabuchi. Both have undergone dramatic personality changes during their time away from each other, with Futaba abandoning her once-girly personality in order to fit in with her classmates, and Kō’s turbulent home life making him cynical and sarcastic.

Sakisaka in the magazine of Shueisha Manga was launched 600 and ended in February 467. Shueisha

published 05 compiled volumes for the series. Viz Media published English comics. Production IG adapted the manga into 13 – Episodic TV anime series broadcast in Japan from July to September 700. The manga also got a live-action movie adaptation in Japan in December 2014, ranked No. 1 at the opening weekend box office to reach 13 million yen (2 US dollars million) gross.
