Buy Roomba j7 at Wellbots – $399 Buy Roomba j7+ at Wellbots – $599 Buy Roomba s9+ at Wellbots – $799 Both the j7 series and s9+ earn their place in our guide to the best robot vacuums . The j7 models are better for most people because they are cheaper and still have tons of premium features. iRobot launched these models about a year ago, calling them their first pet poop-detecting robotic vacuum. AI-powered computer vision can help these machines navigate obstacles more efficiently, meaning they should be able to avoid any accidents with pets on the floor. Plus, if they don’t avoid the mess, iRobot promises it’ll send you a new vacuum to replace your dirty one. In use, the Roomba j7 cleans carpeted and hard floors well, and it navigates back to its charging base before the battery runs out. If you opt for the j7+, you also get a clean base, which is essentially a trash can attached to the charging base, and the robot empties its bin after every job. If you really don’t like vacuuming and want to interact with the machine as little as possible, a clean base will come in handy as it can hold up to 60 days of debris. As for the Roomba s9+, it’s probably overkill for most people — but it’s one of the best robot vacuums out there. It has a sleek design, and since it has 40 times the suction power of a standard Roomba, it cleans floors well and picks up pet hair well. It also returns to a clean base after each job and automatically empties the bin. Both it and the j7 series can connect to iRobot’s mobile app, allowing you to remotely start cleaning jobs and set schedules and check on machines if they get stuck anywhere in your home. The iRobot’s app is another major selling point of these devices – it’s very simple to use, so if you’re using a robot vacuum for the first time, it’s not difficult to set it up and customize it to your liking.
