TechCrunch+ recently noticed a paradox: “VCs love talking about AI, but they don’t Not as many checks as you might think.” Perhaps because they don’t need to make new investments to own a stake in an AI company.

“A lot of existing investments are starting to go to AI — about two companies a month,” said Masha Bucher, Founder and General Partner, Day One Ventures tell me.

Email app Superhuman, for example, is one of the startups in her portfolio that recently ventured into AI.
