Jack Quaid to Star in Zach Cregger, BoulderLight, New Line's Sci-Fi Thriller 'Partners' (Exclusive)

Jack Quaid, one of the stars of Amazon’s The Boys , has signed on to topline Companion , a sci-fi thriller from Last Year’s Horror The Team Behind the Attack Barbarian.

Written by Drew Hancock He wrote the original script and made the film his directorial debut, many of which have been kept under wraps.

Despite the secretive nature of the project, its pedigree is notable. Zach Cregger wrote and directed Barbarian with Raphael Margules and JD Lifshitz BoulderLight Pictures, now home to some of the biggest hustlers in town, and Vertigo’s horror flick lead Roy Lee.

Tracy Rosenblum of BoulderLight and Andrew Childs of Vertigo serve as executive producers.

Companion was won by New Line in a fiery horror auction earlier this year. It was originally intended as a follow-up to Barbarian by BoulderLight and Cregger, before the filmmaker switched tracks to focus on his own script, Weapons , is now also contributing to the New Line. But the team helped Companion not only secure a home, but also greenlighted production to begin, supporting Hancock in his directorial debut.

Quaid had a geek moment this week. Cast is the popular Paramount+ animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks and starring in another hit Star Trek shows, Stranger Things New Worlds . In the trailer for the series, it is revealed that when the new season begins in June 21.

Quaid also starred in Paramount’s 1234867065 reboot of Scream and the traditional Cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, followed by Christopher Nolan Oppenheimer as part of an all-star cast, These include Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt. Oppenheimer will be released in July 21.
