Jake Paul, social media personality and Disney Channel star-turned-pro-boxer, will make her feature film debut in Fight campaign Drama backed by Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street
Paul will play an internationally acclaimed boxer. “Like many other superstar content creators, Jake has cracked the code on engaging audiences, generating hundreds of millions of dollars while also telling his story in a way that directly connects with audiences of all ages,” the producer said. Filmmaker David Zellon said in a statement Tuesday.
Paul first rose to fame on the defunct social video app Vine before jumping to YouTube. He also had a role in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark , although he was let go came off the show and made nasty headlines after some antics with his brother Logan Paul (also a social media star turned boxer).
Paul started boxing and turned pro two years later. He also co-founded boxing promotion company Most Valuable Promotions.
The untitled film will be produced by Mandalay’s David Zelon and Wonder Street’s Craig Baumgarten. Paul and Nakisa Bidarian will serve as executive producers.
“As someone who has always believed in pushing boundaries and taking risks, I can’t wait to bring this unique story and my brand to the big screen. This is just an exciting addition to my career The beginning of a new chapter,” Paul said in his statement.
In 2022 Paul also ventures into sports betting by launching Weibo-focused sports company Betr, and he also hosts a A weekly talk show called BS w/ Jake Paul.
