James McAvoy and Blumhouse Reteam for Horror Thriller 'Speak No Evil'

James McAvoy is back in business with Blumhouse, the studio behind his M. Night Shyamalan featureSplit and glass . The actor will star in Speak No Evil, a remake of the Danish psychological horror thriller Gaesterne.

Universal has set a date for August 9th, 2024, Movie. The remake is written and directed by filmmaker James Watkins. He previously directed Eden Lake and The Woman in Black , as well as an episode of

Black Mirror.

New feature centers on a family as they spend a dreamy night at their idyllic country house. Taking vacations and only having vacations becomes a psychological nightmare.

This script is based on the 2019 original Gaesterne Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup. Christian Tafdrup directed the original feature film, which was nominated for the Danish Film Award, the country’s equivalent of Oscars.

Blumhouse topper Jason Blum is producing, with executive producers Ritchie, Christian Tafdrup, Jacob Jarek and Bea Sequeira.

McAvoy became Professor Charles Xavier in in 2019 International star X-Men: First Class and its sequels. In 2019, the same year Glass hit the screen, he also appeared in it: Chapter Two of and X-Men: Dark Phoenix . On the small screen, he recently starred in HBO’s His Dark Materials and Netflix’s Sandman.

Split, McAvoy’s first collaboration with Blumhouse, allows the performer to push his skills to the limit while simultaneously Play multiple characters as Horde, a villain with multiple personalities.
