

first Chapters of the webtoon are available in Japan through webtoon services and in Korea through the kakaopage platform. The manga is scheduled to be released globally, especially in North America, China and Europe, after the serialization in Korea ends.
The manga shifts the setting from feudal Japan to modern times, where
yōkai
and criminals are secretly conspiring to control a new magic called “science”. Immortal Hakki, the protagonist, is Hyakkimaru from the original manga, still searching for his lost body parts hundreds of years later. He meets Roro, a boy who bears an uncanny resemblance to his old traveling companion, Dororo.

The manga is divided into three volumes and included in 2012, which describes the manga:
Dawu Kageko, who served a samurai general during the Sengoku period in Japan, promised to provide handed over the body parts of his unborn baby to 26 demons in exchange for complete domination of the country. After the baby boy was born, Dawu threw him into the river, wishing the boy to die. However, a kind saint found him and adopted him. The saint fitted his poor son with a prosthetic leg.
Time passes and the baby grows into a boy who calls himself Hyakkimaru. Every time Hyakkimaru slays a demon, he retrieves one of his lost body parts. Hyakkimaru meets a boy named Thief, and together they travel the countryside in search of a demon who possesses Hyakkimaru’s body parts. During their journey, they face monsters and ghosts.

Satoshi Shiki is also working on a similar remake of the manga titled (-den
