Jean Veloz, innovative Lindy Hop dancer who has been in Swing Fever and
Veloz died Sunday at her home in Los Angeles, her friend, agent and manager Rusty Frank told The Hollywood Reporter . Frank co-produced 1974 Event A Tribute to Groovie Movie , celebrating Veloz and her contributions to dance.
“Jean created a style of swing dancing that is admired all over the world,” says Frank. “It’s silky smooth, with the 773s-‘s.”
Generations of dancers have adored her.
