Jennifer Lawrence has joined the list of A-list stars arriving in France this weekend for the annual Cannes Film Festival. The actor was in town for a screening of Bread and Roses
, a Lawrence-produced documentary about the experiences of Afghan women under Taliban rule. Earlier today, Lawrence attended the documentary’s daytime photo call and evening premiere – and her opulent outfit reflected the glitz and glamor of the festival. The star sported two striking looks conceived by Christian Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri. (Of course, Lawrence has long been a Dior girl.)
For her daytime look, Lawrence wore a gray jersey sheath dress from Dior Spring2023 Fashion Collection. With a touch of the beach (suitable for Cannes by the sea), the plunging V-back bodysuit revealed a hint of a satin bra and briefs underneath. It’s an effortless and slightly unexpected choice.

For the premiere, she donned an Old Hollywood-inspired gown in her signature color, red. (Remember her Oscar gown by Calvin Klein in the same heady hue?). Featuring a cinch waist and ruffled neckline, this latest style complements formal looks with a wide, long cape and train. Her sparkling jewelry completed the ensemble: her zigzag diamond necklace and eye-catching engagement ring! Make it all the movie star perfect ending.
