On Tuesday, the actor stepped out for a walk in capri pants from The Row, a pinstriped blue and white shirt and bow-embellished spring flats, slung over a casual The Row Bag. Before her flight to the French Riviera last week, she wore the same baggy cropped trousers—think of them as an adult version of city shorts, paired with a white blouse, jumper, and velvet slippers.
Cooler than trousers and playier than skirts, trendy shorts have become a warm-weather must-have for stars. When she’s not wearing baggy jeans and T-shirts, she’s leaning toward looser silhouettes, like Loewe’s sporty embroidered suit — worn on a business trip earlier this month — or the one she wore in sunny California in January Bermuda set.
