Four months after the horrific snowplow accident in Nevada, Jeremy Renner walked the red carpet in Los Angeles on Tuesday night for his new film Premiere Disney+ ShowRennervations.
Renner was joined by show co-host Rory Millikin, showrunner Patrick Costello, executive producer Romilda de Luca and production team member Roxy Molohon holding a cane , took pictures with family members.
“From the personal challenges – physical, emotional, health, all of that – it goes hand in hand with the show because the show is also very, very personal to me, it’s It’s my life,” Renner told The Hollywood Reporter on the carpet. “There are no characters, no scripts. It’s just a camera investigating what I’ve been doing all my life.”
“This show became a wonderful milestone in my quest for physical fitness, Let me be here to share the story, to share the journey, and it’s been an honor to do so,” he continued. Renner also spoke about his acting future following the accident, confirming that he plans to return to the screen.
“Never give up on what I love to do, I’ll stay busy doing what I love to do,” he said. “I’ll focus more on what’s really valuable and important to me, a lot of times people and fans really like it, and I have to thank my fans because they end up loving what I do, even with that. “
In the four-part Disney+ series, The actor and his expert manufacturing team reimagine retired vehicles and rebuild them into innovative creations that serve communities around the world. Renner also brought some of his famous friends to his Rennervations program, including Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Hudgens, Anil Kapoor, and Sebastián Yatra.
In the premiere, Renner rides his scooter across the theater to the stage for a panel discussion after the first episode of the documentary series, earning a standing ovation applaud. After being a guest on Monday’s late-night show, his production team joined a panel discussion moderated by Jimmy Kimmel.
Millikin revealed in the conversation that Renner didn’t like the name of the show at first and wanted to use “Good Machines” as the title, which they vetoed as Kimmel joked Renner was killed and the logo was discarded when he was unable to weigh himself while in the hospital.
On a more serious note, Kimmel noted that the serendipity of debuting on the charity show was going through one of the toughest times of his own life, as Rainer puts it, “A big part of my recovery was the show, it set a big milestone for me to get better, to make sure all of our hard work wasn’t in vain, and for me, messed up my damn self There’s no choice. For me, it’s easy because I have places to go, places to point, and I have a lot to love, man.”
On January 1st, the Avengers star was trying to save his nephew, which caused the actor to fracture more than 30 bones, his eyes popped out of their sockets, and his liver was pierced. The actor’s injuries were so severe, he was convinced he was dying. In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Renner admitted that he briefly considered end-of-life decisions . “Don’t make me live off the tubes in the machine,” he said of the conversation he had with his family. “If I existed on drugs and painkillers, let me go now.” In just four months, he quickly reversed the diagnosis.
Rennervations starts Wednesday on Disney+.
