Last night at The Nines, Vestiaire Collective hosted a chic soiree with Academy Award winner and producer Jessica Chastain and her longtime stylist Elizabeth Stewart alongside co-founder Fanny Moizant and North America CEO Samina Virk. The occasion marked the brand’s new charitable closet sale, marking an exciting chapter for the US company—shoppers can peruse pieces from Chastain and many other Hollywood darlings’ closets.
“I think the first thing I found on Vestiaire before this partnership was a 1980s Michael Kors jumpsuit; Like any good stylist or fashion editor, I love the hunt for a great piece,” Stewart told Vogue. “I think a really good stylist loves all clothes, and a lot of the time in my industry, people get really caught up in the latest thing from the latest collection of the hottest designer. The rise of sites like Vestiaire makes me happy because it’s completely win-win: it’s more affordable, It’s better for the environment, and there are absolute gems to be found on the site.”
Guests arrived at the dimly lit NoHo hot spot sporting their favorite vintage and pre-loved fashion looks. The redheaded starlet re-wore the Cong Tri spring 2024 dress she wore at her recent Memory premiere. Inside, partygoers enjoyed Vestiaire Collective-inspired cocktails with customized “V.” ice cubes and passed canapes signature while enjoying a live DJ set by Jenny Albright. Attendees included Berg, Rickie De Sole, Lili Buffett, Micaela Erlanger, Elizabeth Sulcer, Samantha Barry, Amy Astley, Katharine Zarrella, Isan Elba, and more.
Items from the sale include Chastain’s white Carolina Herrera dress worn to The Good Nurse premiere, Julia Roberts’ viral-worthy look worn to the recent Jacquemus show in Nice, stylist Elizabeth Stewart donated her gown from a Gucci by Adidas for the cause, and a variety of other red carpet and street-style looks from Gucci, Roksanda, Stella McCartney, Dries Van Noten, Mach & Mach, Off-White, and more.
