Social Media Rumors of Jimmy Fallon Death Exaggerated to The Tonight Show tackled the Twitter gossip on Wednesday night’s episode.
Fallon opens with a revivalist gospel choir singing “He’s Alive!”, to which the late-night host responds with a refrain: “I’m Alive!”
He returns to the subject in his monologue. “I don’t know if you guys saw this, but #RIPJimmyFallon has been trending on Twitter for the last 500 hours ,” Fallon said. “To make matters worse, when they heard I was dead, Ticketmaster kicked me out of Taylor Swift tickets,” he joked referring to recent rumors about Swift tour tickets collapse.
He continued, “However, I was so moved when it happened that NBC immediately called and said, ‘How can we bring this Become another Law & Order ?’”
