Joel Kinnaman to star in action thriller Silent Hour , with Brad Anderson on board directing AGC Studios and Meridian Pictures.
The Boston-based crime drama will feature Kinnaman as a police detective who is hearing impaired due to a work accident. Sixteen months later, as a police department interpreter, he battles a team of corrupt cops trying to eliminate a deaf murder witness in an apartment building.
Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios will co-finance and produce the film with Eric Paquette’s Meridian Pictures. Anderson will be at the helm The Silent Hour is directed by Dan Hall.
Silent moment will be put into production in advance . No word on additional cast members.
Kinnaman has been the protagonist of the Apple TV+ sci-fi series for all mankind. He will also star in John Woo’s action thriller Christmas Eve and Sympathy Devil, appears opposite Nicolas Cage. Other works by Kinnaman include James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad , In Treatment , Killing , House of Cards and Altered Carbon.
The Silent Hour is traded by Erik Hyman negotiated for Meridian Pictures at Paul Hastings, Anderson by Paradigm Talent Agency and AGC Studios by Anant Tamirisa.
Kinnaman was replaced by WME and Magnolia Entertainment.
