John Boyega is helping shape the anticipated follow-up to his 2011 indie alien invasion action actor

, the sequel’s star opened up about how his new producer duties affected his involvement in the film’s script. According to Boyega, the story was “presented” by him and Joe Cornish, writer and director of Attack the Block.
“We worked hard to create a story that made sense for Moses and the other characters, as well as new characters that will appear in the sequel,” the actor-producer said. “And then, writing it has different opinions, Joe has his point, I have mine.”
Boyega also shared some details about the plot of the sequel, This sequel comes a decade after the original. Attack the Block Follow Moses of Boyega, a young gang leader turned local hero who uses his street smarts to fight an alien invasion.
The duo already have a “story line” and he says they’ll see them “blow the dust off” for another original film. The story will be ” About getting the character a little older and seeing where he is now.”
“London has changed so much since the first film, in so many different ways,” explains Boyega. “We just wanted to make sure we explored all of that while bringing a whole different vibe to that crazy first movie we made.”
Attacking the Block is Cornwall’s debut as a writer-director and one of Boyega’s earliest roles, often cited as his breakthrough.
