“Our big goal at BecomingX is to help people understand what it really takes to be successful and equip them to follow their dreams Confidence and skill, whatever the dream. We’re sharing the real stories of the world’s most inspiring and iconic people—true stories about how they got to where they are now and how they overcame the challenges along the way,” Grylls Tell The Hollywood Reporter via email. “Becoming Xtraordinary is about helping young people learn life lessons from those who have gone before them, and demystify what it really takes to realize your potential. “
He added: “Our message is very simple. It is that everyone has the potential to achieve great things. We really believe that the world needs to go beyond “anyone can do anything.” Instead, focus on equipping people with the real skills and attitudes they need to succeed. We want people to watch Becoming Xtraordinary and realize that what really matters is ambition , hard work, determination, resilience, relationships, collaboration, creativity, kindness… what we think of as personal qualities don’t really see the education system helping people learn. Not everyone is going to be an Olympic champion, a Hollywood star, or a CEO, nor are we These should not be attempted as life goals, but everyone can dream big, do better at what they do, and help others along the way. We want to help young people see ‘success’ as living a full and fulfilling life Happy life, doing what they love, whatever that means to them.”
When asked about the Hollywood stars featured in the series, Grylls said : “I’ve been lucky enough to work with so many amazing people over the years, several of which we’ve already filmed with BecomingX. We have a long list of inspiring people we’re filming – Hollywood stars, presidents, Olympic gold medalists , top scientists…but there are also people from some of the toughest backgrounds imaginable who all work incredibly hard to reach their goals with passion, dedication and humility. Julia, Courteney and Chan are great examples. They Such incredible, genuine and caring people, and we are proud to share their stories with so many other inspiring people from around the world.”

DaVinci COO Estelle Lloyd highlighted the appetite for this kind of programming. “There is a huge gap in the market for inspirational content that families can enjoy together and learn what it takes to succeed in real life,” the executive said. “We are so excited to be joining forces with BecomingX to bring this masterclass-style entertainment series exclusively to our DaVinci Channel and streaming app.” DaVinci Content director Luca Fiore told THR the company will also be doing full interviews with characters from Becoming Xtraordinary available audience use. “We really wanted to focus on these amazing stories and these amazing people and the qualities that make them.” But it’s not just about showcasing the biggest and brightest famous name. “An important factor that we wanted to demonstrate was the diversity in realizing individual potential,” he explained. “It’s not just about certain types of personalities or certain opinions, or being from certain industries. Yes, there are A-listers that everyone knows, but there are also a lot of people that young people have never heard of.” Paul Gurney, co-founder and CEO of BecomingX also stresses the importance of broad stories and personalities. “A lot of young people still look at big TV stars and movie stars and say ‘wow, these guys are amazing’, but we almost kind of wanted to break down the stereotypes of success and have a range of people from completely different backgrounds, ’” he told THR. “Of course, it’s very helpful for us to have these great stars. It’s a real pleasure to work with talented people and of course it brings an extra level of excitement to the show. people show and say, ‘Look, whatever you want to do, there’s something here to help you get where you want to go’. So not only the big names, but this guy who lost three hands and dedicated his life to fundraising and veterans helping others. The UK’s current chief fire officer was homeless as a teenager.” BecomingX has filmed more than 01 interview, which is also published on its website, “We plan to shoot more, more,” he added. But working with da Vinci will give the presentation a higher production quality. For example, Gurney told THR that the series will see “young presenters interact with the audience by summarizing and discussing some of their takeaways from interviews on the show , and “the Bear character introduces this almost like an inspiring father figure.” 2021 From day one Inspiration has been at the core of the BecomingX vision since the beginning. “There are a lot of negative, difficult things in the world,” Gurney explained. “It hasn’t really changed after the pandemic. You only have to look in the newspapers to see some of the challenges young people are facing. So our job is to provide that positivity, inspiration or energy to young people, to say, ‘I There’s a little bit of trust in these guys, I know what they’ve done, I admire them, and I want to do the same. “It’s about getting rid of all the negativity and all the negativity on social media.” Fiore agrees. “One of the things I love about interviews is that you see moments of frustration and adversity for everyone. But it’s the determination in the story and the glass half-full of grit that’s so important to emphasize,” he told THR. “We all have adversity, but we need to turn it around and really tap into those qualities and the things we love to make sure we get out of it and that’s what we need to do That’s what I want my family to see.”
