Kate Middleton Reworn a Pair of Bold Earrings Under $100

Catherine, Princess of Wales continued her fashion trend as she attended an event hosted by the Royal Children’s Fund Center in London on Monday afternoon. Kate Middleton’s sharp, tailored red pantsuit was a standout with prominent shoulders, lower lapels and a prominent waist. However, her bold, chunky earrings stole the show.

And not just because they’re stylish. However. As was the case with Kate, the clothing choices were filled with meaningful details. The Duchess first wore the earrings for the unveiling of the National Gale Monument at Waterloo Station in London last June. These earrings are made by London-based architect Malaika’s handmade jewelry line Chalk. The brand describes the special pair as a nod to the “Royal Opera House main stage auditorium ceiling”. The earrings retail for £92 (approximately $92) and are also a significantly more affordable option for Kate . As many people across the UK have been grappling with a “cost of living crisis”, perhaps she doesn’t think it’s appropriate to wear expensive jewellery.

Of course, re-accessorizing may not sound like a big deal to the average person. But for the British royal family, whose wardrobe is often meticulously vetted by a team and then scrutinized by the media, the move represents a more sustainable and eco-conscious way of appearing in public. Still, the Princess of Wales has long been in her clothes again, whether it’s a simple Zimmermann dress or an Alexander McQueen suit. Here’s a little way that princesses do look like us.
