2023 The Cannes Film Festival is in full swing in Cannes, France, and there have been plenty of fascinating fashion moments on the red carpet. Elle Fanning, Viola Davis and Gemma Chan all landed for the event. Another star in town? Katie Holmes attended Kering’s Women in Motion Talk last night. The event was more casual than the festival’s famous megawatt red carpet premieres, but the actor still provided plenty of outfit inspiration with her casually cool ensemble. Holmes wore a light green T-shirt with a lively yellow button-down shirt and wide-leg pants. But the real focus was her choice of shoes.

Holmes ditched the traditional Cannes heels for Le Monde Beryl’s blue satin knotted kitten heel mules, which retail for $ ) Dollar. They feature a mm heel – barely there. While the style star has worn heels before (such as her many Bottega Veneta padded heels), Holmes has proven to prefer more down-to-earth footwear styles: She’s worn Mary Janes, Chloé clogs and Acne Studios loafers and other chunky heels. After all, she is from New York. Her shoe cabinet is based on practicality and is suitable for wandering in the city. It goes to show that you don’t need skyscraper stilettos to look dressy. The kitten follows the team!
