Tonight 2022 at the CFDA Awards in New York City, Katie Holmes walks the red carpet with New York designer (and friend) Jonathan Simkhai. Given that the event was dubbed the “Oscars of fashion” and honored excellence in American fashion, Holmes had to dress for the role. She opted for a striking evening look by Simkhai that blends glitz and glamour.
The dress’s long tank top silhouette and flowing crystal tassels at the hem create a 1920 flowy dress—though It has a scoop neck and a shrouded design that subtly reveals the skin underneath and feels very modern. Even Holmes’ crimson lip and sleek back bun incorporated a retro vibe. The entire exterior belongs to a 1920 speakeasy, probably Charleston. Though it might be a challenge for her gorgeous sparkly heels.
