The shoes found new fans in Katie Holmes, who wore a black pair to the 2017 Theater World Awards in New York On June 5, wear it with a sheer maxi skirt and blazer. Versions of the shoe with gingham or black ribbon ankle laces appeared on the runway, but Katie opted for a plain patent leather pair without the ribbon accents.
This isn’t the first time Katie has worn the brand’s signature flats. Back at 2008, when she had her pixie hair, she was wearing shiny red jeans with baggy jeans, a raspberry v-neck sweater, and a Paraty bag by Chloé -Very Noughties look. Proving their enduring appeal, it’s no surprise to see Katie in those red Mary Janes this summer.
