Sources say the Disney-backed streamer is already looking for a replacement star to lead the show, which has been in various stages of development for more than a decade. Representatives for Hulu and Reeves declined to comment.

Frequent collaborator has previously developed TV shows Gangs of New York and Shutter Island, Although none of them are beyond the script stage. DiCaprio currently has a movie and TV deal at Apple. DiCaprio execs made Apple series Shiny Girls and owned $200 Million Features Killer of the Flower Moon will debut on streaming next year.
