Kelly Clarkson said being closer to her family in North Carolina and starting over was one of the reasons she asked to move The Kelly Clarkson Show from Los Angeles to New York

show recently appearing on TalkShopLive,, she asked Nancy O opens up about ‘Dell’ about her new album Chemistry and writing a post-divorce album. During the nearly 40 minute-long conversation, she also joked that she might bring her talent to Broadway when she moves to the East Coast.
But it was about halfway through the interview when Clarkson answered a question about her decision to move the daytime show to New York. The move was announced earlier in May and the singer and TV host is now set to perform at NBC Studios at 20 Rockefeller Plaza 6A studio shot.
“I even talked to my staff about [this] in January,” she said, recalling how she broke the news while crying. “Obviously we’ve been very successful, and I love everyone I work with, we have a great relationship, so I talk to them because I’m like, ‘Guys, I need you guys to know what’s going on.'” or I can’t go on the show, or I have to go [to] the East Coast.
Clarkson added that the pandemic played a role in the decision because of the difficulty of isolation and distance from her family in North Carolina. There are so many personal things going on and I feel like our family – me and my kids – really need a fresh start and I just can’t get it here. It’s just one obstacle after another.
The host added that after “such a wonderful experience with all these people and relationships”, it “sucks to uproot and move it”, but decided Yes “100 is my idea and it’s really great that NBC is supporting me. “
“I was like, ‘Y’ All in all, I really enjoy doing this show…but I have to make changes for myself,” she continued. The show will benefit from New York’s newly expanded film tax credit program. The show will gain a new state-of-the-art studio, technical facilities and support spaces.
“As part of the program’s expansion, New York is now offering incentives for eligible TV dramas to relocate to New York and has changed the eligibility requirement for talk shows and variety shows from a five-year filming period to down to two years of filming,” the statement continued.
After announcing the show’s move, Rolling Stone
published a report alleging that the The show’s producers “overworked” and “underpaid” employees, Kelly Clarkson Show employees also claimed the workplace was The toxic work environment affected their mental health.
Responding to the report and posting to Clarkson’s Instagram, the singer wrote: “On my 30 In the entertainment industry for many years, I have always led with my heart and what I think is right. I love that I am on The Kelly Clarkson Show team, found it unacceptable for anyone to feel neglected and/or disrespected on this show.”
Clarkson pledged that as the show prepares to move to New York, she is “more committed than ever to ensuring that not only our relocating team, but our new team in New York, is made up of the best and kindest people in the business.”
“Part of this build will include leadership training for all senior staff, including myself,” the statement continued.
At another point in the TalkShopLive
interview, Clarkson reveals that she may be working for Broadway. A break on a talk show. “Ultimately I want to do something. I’m writing something right now. Like I’m working for Broadway,” she said.
She added that she prefers the “energy” of the stage to television or film.
“I fell in love with theater and Broadway and all that. And I never thought I’d get the chance to do something like that,” she says. “I don’t like acting in film and TV but I like stage play I guess because that’s how I was raised and I like that you don’t have to make the same mistakes 40 times. I want to go out there and have the energy of that show you deserve, and I want it to be what it will be, and every night is different.”
