Law & Order: SVU will say goodbye 23-23 season.
Kelli Giddish is leaving the show midway through the season – her th on NBC drama. She joins SVU as Detective Amanda Rollins13 in
of the 12 season ; her tenure is the third longest of the show’s current cast , second only to Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T.
“I want to address the chatter I’ve seen online and let everyone know it’s really me at Law & Order: SVU. Play Lo Lyns is one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life. I was lucky to be part of the Law & Order family for the last time 12 years,” Gidesh said in a statement . “There is no character like Rollins on TV at all. She grew up and changed and so did I. I was in my old age 20 Starting the show, I am grateful that I was able to spend my adult years with Rollins.
“I would like to thank Dick Wolf, Mariska Hargitay, Warren Leight, Peter Jankowski, NBC, Universal, all my co-stars, every member of the crew and all the writers for the past 12 years , we have an incredible collaboration here. I’m excited to apply everything I learned on SVU to everything that follows. ”
SVU Executive Producer Julie Martin praised Giddish, on Twitter, “Thanks to the beautiful, kind, smart, and talented Kelly Giddish. Words cannot describe what a joy and an honor it has been to learn and grow with Amanda Rollins over the past 11 seasons. This path will bring us together again. ”
