Kelly McCree to leave 'Grey's Anatomy'

The actress who played Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith Grey half-sister Maggie Pierce is leaving the hit ABC in April series.

Grey’s Anatomy was saying goodbye to another of himself.

Kelly McCreary, who played beloved doctor Maggie Pierce, is Ellen Pompeo half-sister’s Meredith Grey is leaving the hit ABC medical drama after nine seasons. Her farewell episode as a series regular will air in April 11.

The latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy

has been emphasizing Grace Maggie, chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Long Memorial Hospital, and her husband Winston (Anthony Hill), a cardiothoracic surgeon, have marital problems. Maggie enters season as the daughter of Meredith’s mother Ellis Gray (Kate Burton) and Chief Richard Webb (James Pickens Jr.). Pierce was promoted to regular season during the season 03.

News of McCreary’s exit comes at a critical time as The major ABC series recently said goodbye to star and executive producer Pompeo as a series regular and will stand up to Kelly McCreary and Anthony Hill in Grey's Anatomy showrunner Vernoff quit because the series is waiting for a season 13 renew.

Similar to Pompeo’s return in the season finale, McCreary will return for a visit later in the season following her farewell episode.

Pompeo paid tribute on Instagram, writing: “Congratulations Kelly. Thank you so much for all your hard work and your Valuable contribution to Grey’s legacy. Looking forward Your next chapter.”

Pompeo’s farewell episode entered the season 11 Winter premiere, Meredith leaves Seattle hospital to move to Boston. February23 The episode marks Pompeo’s penultimate appearance this season, with her next on-screen visit in May 11 season finale.

However, Pompeo remained involved with the show as an executive producer. She also continued to narrate the episodes with her signature voice-over, even though she wasn’t on screen.
