Keltbray wins support for energy infrastructure

It is part of the Greenlink interconnector project with the potential to power 380,000 homes.

The interconnector will be used between two converter stations in Wexford, Ireland and Pembroke, Wales 200 Many kilometers of subsea and underground cables use high-voltage direct current to transmit electricity.

Keltbray previously delivered Viking Link Enabling and Platform works for another interconnection project in Lincolnshire on behalf of Siemens Energy.

Keltbray Pre-Construction Director Rich Smith said: “By This award continues our relationship with Siemens Energy and it’s fantastic for this prestigious program. Greenlink is the flagship project of Keltbray and we look forward to launching on site and working with All projects and local stakeholders are working together to achieve this important development.”

Keltbray will begin on-site later this month and is expected to be completed in late summer 2023.

Confirmed work on Phase 3 of the world’s largest offshore wind farm at Dogger Bank.

Keltbray will deliver the converter station civil works in the third phase with the main contractor Hitachi following the work of the first two phases Enquirer The total contract value is understood to be approximately £20 million.

The Dogger Bank wind farm is under construction in the North Sea, more than 130km off the Yorkshire coast, in three phases, known as Dogger Bank A, B and C.
