Kendall Jenner's Influential Met Gala Style Over the Years

Kendall Jenner made seven (so far!) appearances at the Met Gala as a chance to transform before our very eyes. The repeatVogue cover girl – who is featured in this month’s Karl Lagerfield tribute issue alongside other supermodels – is always open to experimenting with new designers and aesthetics.

Whether it’s Versace’s Vegas showgirl camp, Prada’s goth glamour, or the quiet elegance of Raf Simons’ Calvin Klein, the eye-catching factor of Jenner’s clothing is always increase steadily. When it comes to the Met Gala, Jenner seems to be pretty much sticking to her typical style code: simple but effective elegance. Many of her gowns are crafted in timeless shades such as beige, white and black.

In , she teams up with Matthew M. Williams of Givenchy A collaboration that pays homage to Audrey Hepburn (a famous fan of the French brand). That year, the star wore a translucent, jewel-embellished gown inspired by Hepburn’s

My Fair Lady character. Of course, one year she opted for a va-va-voom feather suit from Versace in shocking orange. But, to be fair, the subject is “notes from camp”. Jenner’s classic Met Gala look was at , when the supermodel wore an Off White jumpsuit to the gala, accompanied by the brand’s late founder Virgil Abloh. “We worked really hard together to create this look for me, and most of our conversations were over FaceTime,” Jenner said recently, revisiting the look for Vogue’s “Life in Looks.” “You always feel comfortable and safe in his arms.”

We’re excited to see what Kendall Jenner brings to this year’s Met Gala on May 1st.
