Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks has made a career out of putting opponents in the lurch despite one of the best players in the game respecting the way he plays.

[There are many players in the history of the game, and we all like to do the same thing. …I can respect it. He is not without face. “

Brooks is essentially the Grizzlies’ enforcer type player, providing them with an attitude that allows them to Swagger on the pitch. That got him in a lot of trouble, as he was already suspended for one game this season after accumulating 18 technical fouls.
There was also an incident on Feb. 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers when Brooks blatantly lowed Dono Wan Mitchell, leading to an altercation and both players being sent off.
The NBA suspended Brooks for one game for this incident, and Mitchell was fined $20,000.
Brooks’ primary target for rage is the Golden State Warriors. He told ESPN’s Tim Keown in March that he didn’t like Draymond Green or the Warriors: “I don’t like Draymond at all. I just don’t like the Golden State Warriors. I don’t like anything to do with them. Draymond Talks a lot. It’s cool to run away from a lot of his matches too –
with Golden State – but if you put Put him somewhere else, you and we wouldn’t know who Draymond is. He plays with his heart, plays hard, knows the ins and outs of their defense. I think that’s why they like him.”
Green and Brooks continued to drool as the season progressed war.
Whatever anyone thinks of Brooks’ style, it certainly works for him. He went from a mid-second-round pick in 2017 to a key starter for the Grizzlies, currently the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
