UFC welterweight Kevin Holland says Khamzat Chimaev only plays gangster when there are cameras.
“The Wolf” will return to action Saturday in the main event of UFC 279. The game will be a rare non-title pay-per-view main event as Chimayev faces Nate Diaz. It was the first headline role for a welterweight contender.
Ahead of Saturday’s return, the 28-year-old said he was a gangster. The comments were an understatement of his Stockton counterpart. Diaz has apparently discussed his mentality in the past, and Chimayev seems to agree.
However, Kevin Holland is not so sure if this is the case. “The Blazers,” who returned to fight Daniel Rodriguez on Saturday, discussed Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279 Media Day. According to the Netherlands, Chechen fighter jets are different around the media.

According to the 29-year-old star, the star is very angry, And being aggressive around the media. In the back, however, when the camera is not around, Chimayev is very friendly to his comrades.
“I have no problem with anyone on the list if Someone has a problem with me, that’s their problem. I don’t have a problem with anyone on the list. I’ve never had a problem with no one. Now, I’ll tell you how I feel about anyone…I think he likes him Damn the media. He only does this, and he wants to be street shit even more when the media is there.”
“Other than that, he doesn’t. When you guys aren’t there Sometimes, he wants to do fist bumps, he wants to be your best friend. When you guys are around, he’s like, I’m going to rip your heads off! You’re not talking shit, you just want to be like these other things here Same salary as man…he should [still] win [against Nate], on paper.”
