This King Kong has nothing to do with Legendary Entertainment’s Monsterverse series, which has released two movies featuring the Giant Ape ( Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla vs. Kong ), currently working on a TV project on Apple TV+ and Netflix animation shows .
The Disney+ Project is a serial adventure that will return to Skull Island to explore the myths and mysteries of the House of Kong.
The King Kong received by critics and A hit with audiences, and groundbreaking special effects for its depiction of King Kong. It was remade twice, in 1976 (directed by John Guillermin) and (Directed by Peter Jackson) . Rights to characters are complicated; Legendary films only use the “Kong” part of the name to refer to the great ape.
