One might think there is nothing to celebrate on a dreary weeknight on the Lower East Side. La DoubleJ, however, wholeheartedly disagrees. Last night, the minimalist Milanese label brought together its fashion friends in New York for a holiday disco hosted by Brianna Lance, Renata Zandonadi Quaglia and founder JJ Martin. The reason for the occasion, you might ask? The party was born to spread joy, like the brand itself, known for its joyful fashion and homewares.
“At La DoubleJ, there are always moments of joy. My mission is to raise the vibrations of people as much as possible,” JJ Martin told Vogue. “It’s an opportunity to come together, hug people, have fun, dance, shine, sparkle, and enjoy. There are so many serious moments in fashion, and I love the impromptu moments.”
Partygoers gathered on Kind Regards, Indulge in sequins, vibrant silk prints and dazzling sparkly garments from JJ’s eponymous Italian fashion label. Among the crowd, founder JJ Martin dazzled in a sequined striped gown. After picking up a welcome Aperol spritz upon arrival, guests downstairs danced to a selection of hits by DJ Isabella Massenet of Les Filles and posed for their professionally captured Photo Booth moment, jokingly signing autographs
