Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis will not play Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors.
According to the team, James is dealing with left ankle soreness and will miss his first game since missing more than two weeks in November with a strained left adductor muscle.
Davis will not play after experiencing flu-like symptoms following Tuesday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Lakers said Davis’ illness was not related to COVID-19.
Lakers coach Dalvin Ham said after the 116-102 loss that Davis tried to play through the illness, “but he just felt too weak, just tired — A little dehydrated.”
Patrick Beverley was also listed as a questionable player with right knee soreness.
The Lakers have won eight of their last 11 games to improve to 10-13 on the season.
