Latin American Music Awards in progress.
The award ceremony is broadcast to Televisa Univision , which will start 2023 on the company’s UniMás network.
Dick Clark Productions produced this broadcast from the NBCUniversal owned Telemundo network on the 2015 inaugural edition. The deal will also bring the Latin AMA in the same corporate location as the Latin Grammys, which air on Univision.
The Latin AMA, like other music awards shows, combines high-intensity live performances with fan-voted awards for the best of Latin music. The American Music Awards’ English-language sister show will air on ABC in November.
“Live entertainment and music are a passion point for our audience, and we’re excited to produce and play the most important night of music with all of our pillars, now including Latin AMAs,” Iger said Nacio Meyer, president of TelevisaUnivision US Network, said in a statement. “Latin music has become mainstream globally, and as our list shows, we are in partnership with Premios Juventud, Premio Lo Nuestro and Latin Grammys, delivered strong ratings for their respective televised nights and trends on social media.”
Owns Dick Clark Productions is owned by Eldridge Industries, which also owns a minority stake in The Hollywood Reporter .
