PARIS (Reuters) – France is targeting a public deficit of 5 percent despite increased spending to protect households from rising inflation, Finance and Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Monday.
“We need a firm decision to meet the 5 percent deficit target in 2023,” when asked if the target is threatened by costly policies At the time, Le Maire told LCI TV to keep the family’s purchasing power intact.
