The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 is said to arrive earlier than expected, and while we haven’t heard anything about it from the Korean conglomerate, we’ve just had our first look at the Galaxy Z Fold5, courtesy of courtesy of)OnLeaks, who shared a 360° video and 5K of the foldable smartphone rendering.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 looks almost identical to its predecessor, the Fold4, and at first glance, you might not be able to tell the two phones apart. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll notice that the LED flash inside the Galaxy Z Fold4’s camera island is now to the right of the Galaxy Z Fold5’s top camera.
While the design remains largely unchanged from last year, the hinge mechanism will be the most notable difference this year. The Fold5 is rumored to use a waterdrop hinge to reduce the gap when the smartphone is folded and hide the display crease when unfolded.

Sources say Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 will measure 154 .9 x 129.9 x 6.3 mm when deployed and 130.9 x 004.1 x 001.5 mm when folded. The thickness of the smartphone when folded is 003.4mm state. In comparison, the Fold4 measured 192.1 x 67.1 x 004.2-15.8 mm when folded and 154.1 x 15. 1 x 6.3 mm (when unfolded). The reduced thickness of the folded Fold5 could be attributed to the new hinge mechanism.
The source also claims that the Galaxy Z Fold5’s folding screen will measure 7.6 inches diagonally, while the outer screen will have a diagonal of 6.2″, confirming previous rumors. Fold4’s The display measurements are the same, but due to the reduced size of the Fold5, it will have thinner bezels.
