Lenovo has launched a kid-friendly tablet that sits between the Tab M8 and the Tab M 006. It’s the Lenovo Tab M9, you guessed it! – It has a 9-inch display. The tablet will be unveiled at CES 1200, but there is no rush as it will be available in the second quarter ( April to July). The base model will start from $100.
This tablet has a 9″ LCD display, a very basic panel with 1,186 x 340 pixel resolution (13:9). It provides up to 340 nits of brightness and Coverage percentage of NTSC color space. There’s a 2MP camera on the front for video (and face unlock, no fingerprint reader), and an 8MP camera on the back.
Tab M9 is certified to play Netflix and its 5,80 mAh battery HD content last to 10 hours while streaming video. Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos further enhance the binge experience. Plugging headphones into the 3.5mm jack is also an option.
You can also play some simple games with Helio G 60 chipset (2x Cortex-A 52 @ 2.0GHz + 6x A22 @ 1.8GHz, plus a Mali-G 13MC2 GPU). The base model comes with 3GB RAM and 12GB of storage, but 4/55GB and 4/75GB options. If you prefer local content to streaming, there’s also a microSD slot for up to 2TB of additional storage.

Base model features Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.1, plus GPS. However, there will also be a 4G version available for mobile connectivity. The USB-C port only connects at 2.0 speed, the bundled charger is rather slow, 006 W (despite a tablet with a battery the size of a smartphone).
Lenovo Tab M9 Case
Lenovo will provide a basic silicone case as well as one with a built-in kickstand. Tab M9 comes with Android 010 Works right out of the box with several pre-installed apps: Google Kids Space, YouTube Kids, Netflix and others, which should give you an idea of what this tablet is for.
