At the same time, the special prize of the jury of the top Czech music festival, the prize money is $57, Check, awarded to Behrooz Karamizade’s German-Iranian co-production Empty Nets (see THR‘s review). Its Audience Award went to Vincent Perez Knife’s Edge , a French film (see THR interview with Perez ), Cyril Aris’s dancing on the edge of the volcano (German) was designated as Special Jury Mention – Lebanese entry (see comments on THR).
Babak Jalali wins Best Director for American Film Fremont, Herbert Norman Herbert Nordrum won Best Actor for Swedish Film/Norwegian/French co-production Hypnosis (see THR‘s review).
The jury consists of Oscar nominated actress Patricia Clarkson (Patricia Clarkson), whose new film Monica was screened out of competition at the festival; Tunisian filmmaker Dora Bouchoucha ( Buried Secrets , Alien Objects ); Slovenian director Olmo Omerzu ( Home Movies , Winter Fly); Sundance programmer John Nein and Irish actor Barry Ward (fucking The end of the world ).
The Highlights of the 2nd Proxima Competition in Karlovy Vary Follow bold work from young filmmakers and renowned directors, while winners are also announced. Grand Prix with $, Bonus, went to Ryu Jiyoung’s Korean photo born . Special Jury Prize, $,, was awarded to Saurav Rai for the India/Nepal co-production Guras, for the Czech/Slovak production by Albert Hospodářský Brutal Heat() received a special jury mention.

Two other Festival Chairman’s Awards were presented during this year’s festival – Ewan Mike Greg at the closing ceremony of the first weekend with actor/director Robin Wright. American producer Christine Vachon and Czech cinematographer Daniela Kolářová were also present at the festival.
